Community Impact Grant Policy – 2016

In 2016, United Way Lanark County (UWLC) moved to a modified funding arrangement with our partners in the communities we serve, known as our Community Impact Grant Policy (CIG).  We designed this policy to encourage collaboration and collective impact within the communities we serve.  The process builds on the advantages that collective impact brings to working on critical goals and issues faced by those in need within our region.  All of our investments are centred around our 3 Focus Areas.

The current CIG Policy is available by clicking here, and the UWLC Board of Directors will be issuing a Call For Proposals (CFP) in the early spring of 2017, open to all non-profit and/or charities within Lanark County and Smiths Falls.  At that time, the Board will indicate which of our three Focus Areas will be the priority area for the year, to which the Board will accept submissions.  We will also issue the guidelines for our Micro Grants at that time.
